Fund Raising Event Ideas

Your fund raising event’s success can multiply your donor support, increase understanding of and generosity towards your cause as well as raise up front funds.

Your event’s success relies on the publicity that your group can effectively attract. Remember that community awareness will definitely increase your end results.

Publicity for fund raising event tips:

Make use of your website. Use your website to announce your objectives,

highlight regular offerings, thank your supporters and sponsors, honor certain contributors, recognize successes, etc.

Promote through the newspapers, flyers, word of mouth, posters, brochures, etc. Be sure to include all information in your flyers and display posters in very strategic places.

Take advantage of special gatherings. Announce your fund raising event at other social gatherings.

Goal and objective awareness. Promote heavily your fundraising goals and objectives through all forms of communications, specifically between sellers and buyers. A cause with meaningful objectives attracts funding.

Sponsorship signs. Offer free stickers to your supporting merchants, for display in their store or vehicle windows.

Some Fundraising Events you can organize:

1. Park party. Host an afternoon park party with food, drinks and lots of games. Include attractions such as face painting, Frisbee toss contests, sack races, juggling, etc. Charge 1-3 dollars per child for admission which includes game tickets.

2. Mystery Easter eggs. Sell plastic “Mystery Easter eggs” stuffed with candies and coupons on an “Easter bake sale”. Prizes such as Easter basket with toys, a fluffy bunny, large chocolate bunny, as well as other smaller surprises are revealed in the coupons. You can sell each “Mystery egg” for 50 cents to a dollar, depending on the prizes that you offer.

3. Ticket Raffle. Ask for a donation, such as an airline ticket, a home appliance or art work to be raffled at a cocktail party. Sell tickets for the raffle and charge admission fee.

4. Fashion Show. Ask designers and boutiques in your area to participate in a fashion show where they too can profit by promoting their clothes, free! Gather some models, construct a runway, and announce the event. Sell tickets that already include entrance fee and refreshments.

5. Culinary Festival. Invite different restaurants in your area to rent a booth from you and sell their specialties. Create a festive atmosphere and sell entrance tickets.

Careful planning and your imagination are main factors in order for your fundraising campaign to succeed. You must have fundraising decisions based on kinds and availability of resources and situation of your organization. Just remember, success always entails hard work.

During your vacant time or when you're just relaxing and doing nothing, pick up your brush and start painting.

You have to have someone who you can practice with but just make sure that you practice with an older child or an adult. By having an adult or a much older child, you can practice without any complaints. The person should also be interested in face painting so that you will not encounter any problems and difficulty.

When you're already face painting, apply only thin coats of paint. Don’t apply a think coating or layer otherwise, the design will tend to crack and cake.

If you need to apply two or more layers of paint, let the first layer dry first. Once the first layer is completely dry, you can now apply the second layer. To outline the shapes you're making, you can make use of makeup pencils. You can also purchase this in art shops.

Don’t try difficult designs like symmetrical ones. You can do this if you're already experienced. For starters, you can do animals because it is not very detailed when it comes to the designs on both sides of the face. Painting a butterfly is difficult because it is a symmetrical design. You have to wait until you're ready for that.

Try to use your imagination. You can create small tattoos or stamps like spiders, snakes, lizards, and many others. You can use temporary tattoos as reference but make sure that you choose one that is appropriate for face painting.

The internet offers many possibilities. If you're really artistic and you came up with unique ideas for face painting, you can make your own collections and build your own site. This way, you can create your hobby into a business.

Face painting can remove stress and tension. Practice this excellent work of art. Once you've developed the skill, you can try the more difficult techniques or styles.

We normally refer to the precision injection molding precision injection molding products should meet the strict exterior dimension tolerance, geometric tolerance and surface roughness. To be precise injection must be made to the relevant conditions, the most essential is the plastic material, Injection mold , Injection molding process and injection molding equipment, these four basic factors. When designing plastic products, engineering plastic materials should be selected first, and can carry out precision injection molding of engineering plastics must also use those high mechanical properties, dimensional stability, creep resistance and good resistance to environmental stress cracking of the material. Second, the choice should be based on plastic materials, finished size precision, pieces of weight, quality requirements and expected use of mold applicable Injection molding machine . In the process, the impact factors of precision injection molding products, mainly from the mold temperature, injection molding process control, and production sites of environmental temperature and humidity range, and acquired products such as annealing. How To Make A Shed

How To Make A Shed

Gardening without a garden shed is like trying to play baseball without a bat. Well maybe not quite, but close. Without a garden shed close by, you'll wind up spending more time running to and from the garage or basement, instead of doing what you love – gardening. Having a garden shed that works for you is also the best way to keep all that you need for your garden in one place so you will have all that you need at your fingertips.

So where do you start? Size. What sort of activities do you intend on using your garden shed for? This will tell you how large it needs to be. Are you going to be using it as a garden shed, or will it be more of a storage shed? Maybe it's a combination of the two. Perhaps it's a garden studio/storage shed you're after. Whatever you're using it for, start with size. Take some rope, get some old tent pegs, and go out in the backyard where you're planning on building the shed, and stake out the size. The most common garden shed size is 8 x 10, so maybe start with that and see if it works for the garden sheds use, as well as it's surroundings.

Once you have "staked out" the size that you where thinking about, walk around within your space and see if this is going to work for you. Imagine where you will store things, think of shelving and space saving. This is one of the best ways to give you some idea if the size you where thinking of will be enough or perhaps you need to step up the size?

Ramps, multiple or double doors, large functional windows, partition walls are all good utilitarian options for your garden shed. They will help with actually using your shed, getting items in and out, and moving around inside the shed are all made easier with these shed options.

Ramps make it easier to get large items in and out (riding lawnmowers for example), while the double doors allow for plenty of clearance in doing so. Multiple doors are handy if you're planning on filling the shed up with a lot of items. Then you don't have to navigate through things, you can get at them from another side.

Face Painting Success – Are You Going The Extra Mile With Regards To Your Customer Care?

how to do a face painting step by step

Face Painting Success - Are You Going The Extra Mile With Regards To Your Customer Care?

Customer care is all about going the extra mile and doing just a little bit more for each and every one of your Face Painting customers. It’s not just about providing a first-class service, it’s all about doing the additional unexpected things, for no charge at all, and that will put you way ahead of your competition, way ahead!

So how can you stand out from the other Face Painters and Children’s Entertainers in your area and be viewed as the best and most contentious there is?

On arrival to a booked event, give your customer a free gift, for no reason at all. Just because you care. This could be a reward of some kind – maybe for the 21st Face Painting customer this month, a cinema ticket for the birthday child with a bag of sweets, a box of Crispy Crème Donuts with sachets of Hot Chocolate for the adults, a discount coupon from an allied children’s industry (like a school uniform voucher). The list is endless as there are so many more ways that you can make a good, and lasting impression with your additional customer care.

Listen out to their needs, wants and desires and act on them. Is there something that your Face Painting or Entertainment company can offer them, can you help in anyway. I make a habit of listening in to others conversations, especially mums waiting in a Face Painting queue, as they tend to chat about previous entertainment experiences. Listen out for any negative statements such as “She never did this…” or “They were supposed to that…” or “He told me he would…” These words are signs of dissatisfaction – can you act on them and fill a gap in the market?. Positive words are also good to be on the look out for, because if someone is being praised and recommended for their Face Painting or Children’s Entertainment service, you too need to be doing whatever they are doing as well.

Become genuinely interested in them, and by this I don’t mean just nodding or shaking your head in conversation. Listen deeply and intently when you are chatting with your customer and give good, interesting answers and comments. Make a mental note of anything they say that will help to build your relationship and provide a better Face Painting or Entertainment experience. For instance if they tell you a snippet of information about little Johnny, maybe his reaction to a birthday present, maybe a nasty fall in the school playground, or maybe about his school trip to the zoo, make sure you remember it and write it down as soon as possible. You can then use this information when you next see them at a local event or birthday party, or when you next email them, or when they next book you. Your outstanding memory will go a long way and little Johnny’s mum will be so impressed that you remembered such a thing. I have used this tactic many times in my Face Painting and Party Venue businesses. It works a treat!

So, get your thinking caps on. Sit down right now and make a list of all the additional care that you are going to add to your Face Painting or Entertainment customers lives, starting with the free gifts and rewards you can offer, then how you will capture their positives and negatives with regards to their wants, needs and desires and finally how to record useful personal information that you can use at a later date.

Not only will this please them – you will also get a great sense of satisfaction.

Introduction to Candle Making Molds

Introduction to Candle Making Molds

If candle making is a particular hobby of yours, you are definitely not alone. You see, candle making is a very popular hobby, surely one of the most popular today. And since it's so popular, there's a ton of supplies and products available that will aide you in creating beautiful candles more quickly and easily. One product, and the second most important in my opinion, are candle making molds. Candle molds are amazing because no matter the shape or size of the candle you've decided to create, there's a mold for you. If there isn't for whatever reason, no sweat! You can always just create your own.

Candle making molds are a kind of container that you put your melted wax

in to let it cool. Your wax, once cooled, will retain the shape and size of the mold you use, so choosing the proper mold for your project is essential. Molds can be made from a ton of unique materials and exist in all manners of shapes and sizes. They can be utilized for any number of purposes, too.

A type of mold that is particularly popular these days is the aluminum candle mold. Homemade candle makers appreciate aluminum molds for their durable and heat resistant qualities. They also cause the candle when finished to have a smooth, seamless finish, giving it the look of being made professionally. This kind of mold is used commonly in the creation of votive and pillar candles. Aluminum candle making molds are simple to clean and fairly inexpensive when compared to rubber molds.

There are, however, a few cons to using aluminum candle making molds. They are notoriously inflexible, so you have very little control over the size and shape of the candle made with an aluminum mold. If you would like flexibility in those aspects, you would be much better off with a rubber based mold.

There are various types of rubber making molds available. Polyurethane molds are just one example. They are flexible and less expensive than silicone candle making molds. But they also have some problems you will have to deal with when using them. For instance, they don't stretch well and they have a strong smell that could potentially be transferred to your candle. They also require you to use a releasing agent to remove your candle once it has finished hardening. These candle making molds, similar to aluminum molds, are used in the creation of pillar and votive

candles.

Another material used in making rubber molds is silicone. These are expensive candle making molds, but their versatility and overall quality make up for the cost. This kind of mold does not leave seams in the candle, similar to aluminum molds, but unlike them, they are flexible and can be stretched, so you don't need a releasing agent to get your finished candle out of the mold.

If you are looking for something really inexpensive and simple to use while just starting out I would suggest plastic candle making molds. They don't really offer any flexibility and they don't stretch at all, but they're easy to clean, dirt cheap and relatively simple to use. Did I mention they were dirt cheap? The reason I said dirt cheap twice is because plastic candle molds tend to wear out really fast, so you'll

actually have to buy them more often that the other kinds of mold.

Face Painting Cheek Art – Tips And Ideas For The Beginner

Face Painting Cheek Art - Tips And Ideas For The Beginner

Face painting is one of those hobbies that is so enjoyable and so much fun. Whether at friends’ parties, charity events, fetes or other school functions, you will never be short of customers as children just love being painted. If you’re just venturing out as a face painter, then cheek designs are the perfect starting point for you. And, as Christmas is so close, there are lots of easy festive cheek ideas that you could kick off with. Let’s have a look at some ideas that you may find useful.

EASY CHEEK ART IDEAS

GIRLS: Hearts, flowers, dolphins, butterflies, spider’s web, stars

BOYS: Swords, snakes, spiders, fake wounds, footballs, flags, octopus

CHRISTMAS CHEEK ART: Christmas trees, snowmen, easy Santa face, stars, holly,  snowflakes

There are many children’s face painting books in libraries, endless pictures you can look up online and all will help to inspire you.

Get a face painting practice pad and practise highlighting and shading. I believe that anyone who can doodle can create their own face paint design. Remember it can be just a few curly lines around the eyes pointing towards the hairline. Use colours that go well together. Purple, pinks, lilacs and blues look beautiful when combined. Add some silver and white highlights to make the most of the colours. It can be whatever you want it to be. Bring the colours to life and add some little dots and a touch of glitter and, hey presto, you have a design. Don’t be scared, have a go and have fun.

BUTTERFLIES: The butterfly is so popular. Even the most basic designs can look beautiful. You will need a small brush. Paint four coloured wings on the cheek then outline the wings in black. You will need to paint a line down the centre of the wings to represent the body and add the antennae with a fine brush. Look at butterfly pictures and try to copy the texture of the central line, making it thicker where needed. Think of matching colours you could use to fill in the wings, add a touch of glitter and give yourself a clap. And remember, no matter how basic your first designs are, the kiddies you will be painting will not be looking at your creation in the same critical way as you. They will be full of admiration for how beautiful it looks.

OCTOPUS: A great little fun design that boys seem to love. Start with the round head and, if you want to be a little adventurous, you could even paint some of the eight wriggly arms in all directions, some aimed towards the subject’s eyes, nose and mouth. Purple and blues are popular colours and you could also add different shades of blue down all sides for shading and fine white lines to bring the design alive. Don’t forget a couple of white dots for the eyes and, when they’re dry, a tiny black spot on top of each for a perfect finish.

Never be afraid to get creative! Why not make the eyes extra large and, with a very fine brush, add some long eyelashes? Paint on some very bright lips and a touch of red for the cheeks and you have a girly octopus! How about some large black rimmed glasses to make a brainbox octopus! There are so many ideas you could use to put your own stamp on this and you could end up with a whole range of funny girl and boy octopuses. As it is Christmas soon, add a Santa hat for fun and why not throw in a scarf and maybe even a pipe! Have a go and have fun.

When you look at the easy cheek designs, they don’t really look too difficult do they?
