How can I order?
Please fill out our contact form with as much information as you have regarding the number of illustrations that you will need and any design ideas you may have in mind. We will get back to you as quickly as possible with an estimate. Once we have all your details and you are happy with your estimate we will send you an email invoice. That's all there is to it!
How does the design process work?
Each of the illustrations on the site are hand drawn using Adobe Illustrator. To start the illustration process you will need to send us digital photos of your subject (person, pet, house, flower, you name it!) along with a 50% deposit. We will take your inspiration photos and turn them into a work of art. Once we have finished, we will email you a low resolution digital proof for you to look over. If you need any small changes made, those will be done at this time. After the final proof has been approved, we will collect the remainder of your payment and send you the high resolution file in the format of your choice. (PNG, JPEG, or TIFF). To simplify ordering of merchandise, all designs will also now be uploaded to cafepress.com for easy purchasing. Please note that any merchandise pricing is NOT INCLUDED in the design fee.
How does the printing work?
Tiny Face Design is happy to announce the opening of the tiny face design shop on cafepress.com. After your design is completed you will be provided with a direct link to a private section of the shop where your custom item will be for sale. Multiple size and color options will be available to you and all items will be shipped directly to your address. You can click here to see a sample store. Your store will be exactly like this one, only featuring your design! Cafepress.com uses direct printing which is a much higher quality printing process than heat transfer, but they will not do screenprinting. There are no minimum order requirements on Cafepress.com
If you have your heart set on screenprinting, we would recommend using www.customink.com. They have an easy to use upload system and many options for shirt styles and colors. The minimum order is 6 for most items when using customink.com.
And of course there is always the option to print at home yourself.
How and when do I pay?
All orders require a 50% deposit up front to begin production. An email invoice wil be sent to you for the total amount of your deposit. You may pay by check or credit card via PayPal. Design work will begin as soon as we have received your deposit and all of your photos. The remainder of your payment will be due once you have approved your final proofs.
What is your typical turnaround time?
Your first proof will typically be ready in 2 weeks or less from the time that we receive your digital inspiration photos. The total time depends on the number of changes that you request after you receive the proof . If you are on a tight schedule, please let us know and we will do our best to work within your time frame.
Is there anything else that I need to know?
For illustrations of people, it helps us to see several photos to get a good sense of the personality and dominant facial characteristics of your subjects. Please send one photo that shows your subject in the desired pose (facial expression, hairstyle, etc) along with another photo that you think captures the "essence" of that person.
