Creating an effective brand strategy

Article by Michael Sacca

A good brand strategy is what keeps your message alive in different business cycles. For the brand message to work the focus needs to be on the customer that will spend their time or resources on you. Having a clear framework during a downward trend in the business cycle allows companies to create safeguards for there brands. In our ever changing society it is not just enough to present your brand image to potential clients or partners, one needs to represent its brand throughout his daily life and spread the message as a story. The goal is to replicate a walking billboard. There needs to be clear and realistic goals set for companies to keep there brand marketing in perspective.

Companies need to think in incremental blocks when it comes to figuring out realistic goals to reach your target demographic, which will give your company a broader perspective of your brand and dynamic audience. This in-turn lets your brands personality grow and change with your target demographic, which allows your business to stay relevant in this ever changing business culture. There is competition everywhere to have a effective branding campaign there needs to be a clear unique message, trying to fake it will not work. Let me tell your target demographic will know!

Knowing your media

Throughout most industries branding and marketing campaigns get better returns with videos and images. This is compared to its text base counterpart. These trends within society have been prevalent for years due to our fast paced society were images overload our sensory capacities. To gain visibility with video and image campaigns it is a good practice for companies to submit products to industry related publications. In doing so this builds visibility by targeting important demographics within your industry. Submitting work to related platforms is probably the most cost effective way to research your target group with a multi level approach. This approach will help you find trends and sub categories within your larger demographic. Which will let you create numerous campaign messages, not just to impact the large demographic, but the individual.

If companies submit news related articles to the right platforms this approach can demonstrate your product and services within interesting mediums ie., gallery sites, portfolio sites, e-commerce etc. Once this foundation is set up it is easy to maintain, but remember it is not quantity it is quality. If nothing else remember that customers want quality and creative experiences to stimulate there minds....not the usual sales pitch. There is just to many options, be the exception to the rule!
